Jill Fuster provides individualized nutrition assessment, counseling and behavioral strategies to help children, adolescents and adults who struggle with eating disorders and other nutrition-related problems. She has been in private practice in the DC area (primarily in Montgomery County) for over 15 years. She is familiar with multiple treatment approaches and enjoys working with different therapists and other health professionals in the area. She looks forward to collaborating with professionals near this new office location.
Jill studied Applied Nutrition and Exercise Science at Penn State University and graduated in 1993. She worked at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center for one year before completing a Masters in Nutrition at the Tufts School of Nutrition Science and Policy and a dietetic internship at New England Medical Center in 1997. She worked at Children’s National Medical Center for 5 years prior to starting her private practice. There she mainly provided service for those fighting HIV/AIDS and also worked with eating disorders and Cystic Fibrosis. Jill was a nutrition counselor and Program Director at George Washington Weight Management Program.
In addition to individual work, Jill has successfully lead meal groups in the past and plans to initiate new groups in the future. She has also taught nutrition classes to adults and children.
Jill is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group and Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition Group. She is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders and The Washington Society for the Study of Eating Disorders (WSSEDO).
