Diane L. Scheininger, LCSW-C, ACSWDiane L. Scheininger, LCSW-C, ACSW

Ms. Scheininger is a licensed clinical social worker who has practiced psychotherapy in the Washington D.C. area since 1981. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and received Masters degrees from Boston University and the University of Maryland. She acquired expertise in the area of eating disorders and weight management while working at the Georgetown University Medical Center Eating Disorders Clinic.

Ms. Scheininger maintains a general practice for adults and adolescents and sees clients who present with a wide range of issues. She has a particular interest in relationship issues, parenting concerns, eating disorders, and mood disorders and leads workshops for parents of college-bound LD/ADHD students. In addition, she has a life coaching practice in which she works with adults who are interested in creating signficant changes in their personal and/or professional lives.

Ms. Scheininger is a member of NASW, The National Registry of Clinical Social Workers, The Washington Society for the Study of Eating Disorders, and The International Coach Federation. She has spoken at local schools and organizations on a variety of topics.
